Throughout the school year, we have a myriad of volunteer opportunities for advocates and design professionals to support our middle school projects in Nashville. Check out the Volunteer roles and sign up for what interests you. When the volunteer needs arise, we will reach out.
Volunteer Roles
DASHville Facilitators: Workshop facilitators will support students as they design and build a scale model of an affordable and sustainable home.
Time Commitment: One 2-hour session or two 1-hour days at a school.

Topic Expert: The Design Your Neighborhood Podcast Project gives students the opportunity to interview an expert as part of their research on one of the following selected topics: parks, transportation, and affordable housing. Topic Experts visit classrooms to respond to students’ pre-written questions, which helps deepen their understanding of the topic and provides insights to inform their projects.
Time Commitment: Minimum of one hour-long class period during the school day.
